BASILICA DI SUPERGA VIA COG RAILWAY
Built between 1716 and 1731 by Filippo Juvarra, one of the great architects at the Savoy court, the basilica dominates Turin from its hilltop, affording spectacular views of the city. It also offers the unique attraction of being accessible by a vintage cog railway. The short ride, accompanied by breathtaking views of Turin, is a foray into one of the city’s many green areas. At the top of the hill you can not only visit the basilica, but also several of the tombs of the Savoy family, or ascend the dome.
